HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu is proud to welcome the return of the 48th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival to the Frank F. Fasi Civic Grounds on July 19 and 20, 2025. Presented by the Moanalua Gardens Foundation, the festival is the largest non-competitive hula event in Hawaiʻi and a beloved celebration of Hawaiian culture, mele, and tradition.
Hosted on City grounds, this free and family-friendly event underscores the importance of preserving and perpetuating Hawaiʻi’s cultural heritage. The festival begins at 9:00 a.m. on both days, and parking is available free of charge at the Civic Center Municipal Parking structure.
“The Prince Lot Hula Festival is an essential part of our City’s cultural landscape,” said Jennifer Santos, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts. “This celebratory space provides an opportunity to honor the ʻike of our kūpuna, uplift our artists, and inspire our keiki. We invite residents and visitors alike to join us this weekend and experience this vibrant, intergenerational, and meaningful gathering.”
Festival activities include hula performances, live Hawaiian music, cultural demonstrations, a local artisan marketplace, workshops, and more. The City encourages the public to join in the festivities and celebrate the richness of Hawaiian culture.
